SCHOOL ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM
Are you concerned about the "counterculture" segment of your student population? Do they seem disinterested, misunderstood and unappreciated at school? In light of the frightening events that have taken place in schools across and nation, it is time to address the need for programs of greater diversity that appeal to and esteem such students.
* Direct your counterculture students' energy into positive athletic and academic performance.
* Skateboarding, rollerblading, and extreme sports appeal to many students who do not adhere to the traditional sports available in most schools.
*Now that extreme sports are gaining mainline acceptance, i.e. ESPN's X-Games and the use of them on U.S. stamps, it makes sense to adopt related programs in schools. This would be no different then surfing programs in coastal community schools and skiing in alpine schools.
*Provide a skateboarding and rollerblading facility on campus. Allow your "counterculture" students a place to demonstrate their talents while providing them with a physical energy outlet. What's good for the body is good for the mind.
Program Benefits
*Gives staff greater leverage for not allowing skateboarding on school campus outside of designated area.
*Is an outlet that provides motivation and recognition to students who find it difficult to excel in traditional team sport environments.
*May be used as a tool to enhance grades through a G.P.A. requirement for participation, similar to other sports.
Portable Steel and Composite Ramps(PSCRs)
*PSCRs do not require permanent land commitment, as do most wooden and concrete ramps. They can be easily towed or stacked on a trailer for travel or storage.
*PSCRs eliminate the cost of replacement wood upkeep. Purchasing new sheets of masonite from weather, wear and tear can be expensive and inconvenient.
*PSCRs are easy to store. They generally fit inside a parking space.
*PSCRs are enthusiastically endorsed by top skaters who appreciate the quality of materials and the ride. Please ask for pro rider references. We are glad to make them available.
*PSCRs may be conveniently positioned in parking lots, playgrounds, courtyards, playing fields, warehouses, etc. Any location with an 8 foot opening and flat surface would be suitable. *PSCRs are available in many sizes, shapes and styles.
